The TIE Fighter Pilot, the elite pilot of the Empire, appeared in Kenner's Return of the Jedi line in 1982. The figure is made in glossy black with silver details and a characteristic helmet, very similar to that of the stormtroopers but with breathing tubes and imperial symbols.

There are several variations of this figure, including:

Logos on the helmet: Some versions have sharper or more vaguely applied white and silver emblems.

Grayscale: Small differences in the color of the black plastic (sometimes more matte or glossy).

Coosculpt differences: TIE Fighter Pilots from Hong Kong and China have subtle differences in leg and arm shapes.

Weapon Variant: He came with a standard black Kenner blaster pistol (same as several other figures), but this could vary in shade from dark blue to black.

Due to his tough look and role as a counterpart to the X-Wing pilot, the TIE Fighter Pilot remains a popular choice among collectors.
