ABBREVIATIONS
Collecting Vintage toys goes hand in hand with doing a lot of good research. After all, you want to be sure that you have purchased original items. There are all kinds of terms that collectors use among themselves, below you will find a number of them.
MOC | = | Mint on Card. This abbreviation is used to indicate that a figure Mint (undamaged) is on a card. |
MINT | = | In perfect condition. An item in perfect condition, without paint loss or wear. |
MIB | = | Mint in Box. An item in packaging. |
MISB | = | Mint In Sealed Box. An item in an unopened package. |
COO | = | County of Origin. The country where the item was manufactured. |
POP | = | Proof of Purchase. Loyalty points on boxes and cards. |
MTFBWY | = | May The Force Be With You |
12 back | = | The very first 12 figures in packaging (on card). |
Last 17 | = | The last 17 figures released by Kenner. |
SW | = | Star Wars |
ESB | = | Empire Strikes Back |
ROTJ | = | Return of the Jedi |
POTF | = | Power of the Force |
Trilogo | = | Packaging met 3 ROTJ logo's. |
Droids | = | Figures from de Droids cartoon |
Ewoks | = | Figures from de Ewoks cartoon |
Limbs | = | The arms and legs of a loose figure |
Paintloss | = | Damage to the paint layer on a loose figure |
