Weequay, one of the rugged villains from Jabba the Hutt's entourage, appeared in Kenner's Return of the Jedi line in 1983. The figure represents one of the guards of Jabba's sailboat, recognizable by his weathered skin, dreadlocks and ribbed vest. Weequay was often seen on the Sail Barge and at the Sarlacc pit, armed with a force pike.

The sculpt is detailed with a lot of texture in the clothing and skin, which gives him a tough and realistic look.

Known variants include:

Color differences: The skin color varies from light brown to dark brown; The vest also comes in slightly different shades.

Weapon variant: The force pike is usually gray or dark gray, sometimes with subtle shape differences depending on the mold.

Country of production: Figures from Hong Kong and Taiwan show slight differences in plastic type, sculpt, and paint application.

Lili Ledy variant (Mexico): Has a different colored vest (often darker), a softer sculpt, and sometimes a different lance color.

Weequay is a must-have for any Jabba’s Palace or Sail Barge scene and remains a favorite choice among vintage collectors for his rugged looks and strong sculpt.
