Droopy McCool was released in 1984 by Kenner as part of the Return of the Jedi line. He is part of the Max Rebo Band, which performs in Jabba the Hutt's palace. The figure represents a short, plump member of the Kitonak race, characterized by his wrinkled skin, thick lips and bald head.

Droopy wears a light-colored vest over his bare, sandy body and comes with a unique flute-like wind instrument as an accessory.

Known variations include:

Paint color: Minor differences in the shade of his skin (light yellow to cream) and the color of the vest (light gray to beige).

Instrument: The wind instrument varies slightly in color and shape depending on the production location - usually light gray or beige.

Lili Ledy variant (Mexico): Often has a darker body and different paint application on the face.

Molded details: Some versions have sharper details on the face and hands, others have slightly softer sculpt lines.

Droopy McCool was only sold as part of the Max Rebo Band Set, along with Sy Snootles and Max Rebo himself. Due to this limited release, he is a collector's favorite, especially when complete with instrument.
