The Klaatu (Skiff Guard Outfit) was released in 1984 as part of Kenner's Return of the Jedi line. This figure shows Klaatu - one of Jabba the Hutt's loyal henchmen - in his battle outfit as seen on the Sail Barge and at the Sarlacc pit. He wears gray armor with a greenish shirt, brown pants and a speckled helmet that is part of the head sculpt.

The figure came with a silver force pike (lance), typical of many of Jabba's guards.

Known variants include:

Colour variations: Minor variations in the shade of the armour (light grey to metallic grey) and the shirt (green to olive green).

Weapon variant: The force pike is usually silver grey, but also comes in light or dark grey variations depending on the batch.

Production locations: Hong Kong and Taiwan versions vary slightly in sculpt details and plastic type.

Lili Ledy variant (Mexico): Often has a slightly different helmet shape, darker green shirt and less detailed pike.

Note: Klaatu in Skiff Guard Outfit is a separate figure from the previously released Klaatu (Palace Outfit) from 1983, who wears a woolly skirt and different colours. Both are popular with collectors looking to complete Jabba’s crew.
